Jerry's Bio...

Jerry originally hails from the farmlands of northwest Ohio where he caught greased pigs and maneuvered manure spreaders.

Jerry studied Marketing & Communications as well as Vocal Performance and Theatre at Capital University with the intention of going into the Seminary. Life happened and he felt his call was to do theatre as it is truly the non-denominational field that can promote good will to all. He went on to study theatre at The Ohio State University and then to Texas at Stephen F. Austin State University. During his time at S.F.A. Jerry had the opportunity to study at Rose Bruford College in London, England.

After college Jerry found himself living on Sugar Hill in Harlem and spending most of the next four years performing around the country in regional theatres while living in New York City. When September 11th happened Jerry had just returned to Manhattan from summer theatre and both of his “New York” jobs were unable to take him back. Seeing an opportunity to raise the rent, the Landlord decided not to renew the lease due to the current unemployment.

Jerry began hopping about the country working for different Non-Profits, along the way he was the General Manger of Playhouse Merced and then had the opportunity to be a Free Lance Artist for The Arts Council Lake Erie West. With the ACLEW Jerry co-produced the one-man show Fully Committed in down-town Toledo, Ohio.

Jerry has played Sister Mary Amnesia three times in Nunsense Amen! with Millbrook Playhouse, PA, and with Playhouse Merced, CA. Bob Cratchit in Scrooge at Wagon Wheel Playhouse, IN, Eugene in Grease with Rockwell Productions, PA, Wayne in State Fair at Galveston Island Outdoor Musicals, TX. Jerry can be heard (or not) on the Jesus Christ Superstar Karaoke recording as Herod by Stage Stars Records.

Short Business Bio:

Jerry originally hails from the farmlands of northwest Ohio where he caught greased pigs and maneuvered manure spreaders.

After spending a few years in New York performing in regional theatres across the country Jerry entered into arts administration as Millbrook Playhouse’s General Manager. He went on to work with the Arts Council Lake Erie West in Toledo, Ohio and then made the move to California to be the General Manager of Playhouse Merced.

While at Playhouse Merced he created and assumed the position of Director of Marketing and Development and helped the theatre triple it’s budget and draw national attention. He was appointed by the Mayor as a Commissioner for the City of Merced and was also the host of his own radio talk show called “The Art of The Deal”.

Jerry recently moved to San Francisco and became the Action Center Manager for the Human Rights Campaign opened HRC’s Action Center & Store in the Castro district. Jerry then took a position as the North American Marketing and Sales Representative for BelAmi.
